Examination Rules & Regulations

  • Candidates must pass 3 different subjects to be eligible for the award of a Level 3 Group Diploma.
  • Candidates must register for a specific Level 3 Group Diploma before sitting for examinations.
  • The stated compulsory subject(s) must be passed, plus the requisite number of option subjects.
  • A Level 3 Group Diploma must be gained either in one series of examinations or with the required single subjects gained on Demand within 3 calendar months of the first examination date, a combination of series and on Demand examinations is also acceptable provided the other regulations are met.
  • Candidates may enter for 2 Diplomas in the same series of examinations by choosing either 5.1) 6 subjects (3 for each Diploma) or 5.2) 5 subjects (with one, and only one, subject common to both Diplomas).
  • When a Group Diploma is not awarded, a Certificate will be awarded for each single subject passed.
  • Candidates who enter for single subject without stipulating that they are candidates for a Level 3 Group
  • Diploma will only be eligible, if they pass, for the award of single subject certificates and will under no circumstances be awarded a Group Diploma.

Course structure for LCCI

Students have the choice to obtain LCCI Group Diplomas by passing at least 3 Third Level subjects in one examination sitting. Group Diplomas available include;

  •  Cost Accounting
  •  Computerised Accounting
Students can also earn an LCCI Diploma in Business Studies by passing any 3 LCCI Third Level subjects within 12 months.

What is LCCI ?

What is LCCI?
Since 1881, London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) International Qualifications from the United Kingdom has been one of the world’s top international exam bodies for business qualifications. In a globally competitive employment market, these skills give you a big advantage in terms of international recognition and industry-relevant competencies.
With more than 500,000 entries annually, students from over 125 countries use LCCI qualifications to enhance their skills in the working world. Since these qualifications combine the best of academia and industry, many students also use LCCI to enter universities and professional bodies.

What is SPM Double Certification Project?
The SPM Double Certification Project is a joint project between Malaysia’s Ministry of Education and LCCI International Qualifications. This means that if you pass the SPM Principles of Accounting you are entitled to receive LCCI’s Level 2 Certificate in Book-keeping and Accounts. This double certification, along with the necessary soft skills, will definitely make you more employable.


Who can apply for the LCCI Certificate?
If you obtain a Grade 6C or above in SPM Principles of Accounting you are eligible for the LCCI Level 2 Book-keeping and Accounts (Bahasa Malaysia) Certificate.
Additionally, if you score a Grade 6C or above for both SPM Principles of Accounting and English 1119 you are eligible for the LCCI Level 2 Book-keeping and Accounts Certificate.

There is an administration fee of RM25.00 for the processing and production of each certificate. (If you need your certificate to be posted to you directly, please enclose a self-addressed Post Express envelope which will cost you RM4.00)

Salary Scale
Depending on where and which line you choose to work, a job as an Accountant can fetch you from RM 30,000 to RM 60,000 per annum. A Business Manager is projected to earn from RM 5,000 to RM 7,200 per month. While a Marketing Manager can earn from RM 4,500 to RM 6,500 per month.
This course is recommended for SPM, Senior Middle 3, GCE 'O' Level or equivalent schools leavers who are keen to have a qualification in Accounting without having to go to university.
